It has 2 functional self-tests to monitor transmission, power and battery performance, and GPS aqusition. These tests can be paired with ACR's 406Link.com testing portal (Americas Only) and satellite confirmation messages received directly to cell phone or email. Approvals Cospass-Sarsat, FCC, MED (Pending), IC Acceptances: USCG Meets: GMDSS, RTCM, IEC, and IMO standards.
